Privacy Policy — BlockSight

Who we are

BlockSight is operated by Smart Software Services B.V., a company based in the Netherlands and the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch implementing law (UAVG). This privacy policy applies to blocksight.dev and related products operated by us.

What we collect

We collect personal data in two ways:

When you submit our Early Access form: email address, name, company or project, role, areas of interest, and any free-text comments you provide. We also record submission timestamps and basic referral information (page visited, UTM parameters, approximate user-agent).
Analytics: with your consent, Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics record aggregated usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device category, referrer). Without consent, only cookieless aggregate metrics are recorded.
Consent records: when you accept or reject cookies, we record the choice, the policy version, an anonymised IP hash, and approximate country, so we can demonstrate compliance with the GDPR.

Why we use it

To respond to Early Access requests and communicate with you about your interest in BlockSight (legitimate interest).
To send product updates or marketing communications where required by law or where you have opted in to receive them (consent).
To send transactional or service-related emails, such as confirmations or important account-related notices (contract or legitimate interest).
To understand how visitors use the site and improve it (consent, where cookies are used).

Who we share it with

We share data only with processors that help us run this service:

Vercel — hosting and analytics.
Neon — database storage for form submissions.
Resend — transactional email delivery.
Google — Analytics 4 (only with consent).

We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some processors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Early Access submissions are retained for as long as your interest remains active or until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained per the processor's defaults (GA4: 14 months; Vercel Analytics: 30 days). Consent records are retained for as long as we rely on them as proof of consent.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@blocksight.nl. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, only with your consent: Google Analytics 4 for usage measurement, and a first-party preference cookie that remembers your consent choice. You can change your consent at any time using the button below.
